Sarah Egan
Chartered PhysiotherapistSarah graduated from University College Dublin in 2016 with a Masters in Physiotherapy. Prior to this Sarah completed a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science at University of Limerick. Since graduating, Sarah has worked in multiple private practice settings gaining invaluable experience with a wide-ranging patient caseload, with a particular interest in office ergonomics and women’s health. Sarah’s treatment approach focuses on using a combination of exercise-based rehabilitation and manual therapy techniques, such as deep soft tissue massage, trigger point release and dry needling. Sarah is also a clinical Pilates instructor and frequently incorporates Pilates based exercises into her treatment plan where applicable.
Sarah has worked as an Ergonomics Specialist in Google, where she was responsible for the management of the ergonomic program for Google sites throughout Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA). Sarah has a strong background in strength and conditioning, with qualifications from the Irish Amateur Weightlifting Association and the National Council for Exercise and Fitness.
Sarah is an avid skier and soccer player, and is a former national rowing champion and has also represented Ireland internationally on multiple occasions in her youth. Sarah carries her keen interest in sports through to her patients, and really enjoys dealing with sports injuries.
Martina Cloonan
Chartered PhysiotherapistMartina qualified from Trinity College, Dublin in 1986 with a degree in physiotherapy and has since completed a wide range of post-graduate physiotherapy courses. These include orthopedics, neck, and back, neurology, sports injuries, rehabilitation, ante-natal and post-natal care, work hardening and functional capacity evaluation. She gained practical experience in these areas in St. James´s Hospital, Mount Carmel, the National Medical Rehabilitation Centre in Dublin and DGH Hospital, Michigan, USA.
She has traveled abroad as a Physiotherapist with the Irish Davis Cup Team and had been involved with the National Coaching and Training Centre in Limerick, assisting in flexibility testing of elite athletes. In addition to being involved in occupational health and pre-employment flexibility screening, Martina is also a functional capacity evaluator.
Germaine Mallin
Chartered PhysiotherapistStefanie Niland
Chartered PhysiotherapistStefanie grew up in California. She obtained a BS in Exercise Science from UC Davis and later graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 2004 from Sacramento State University. In California, she worked in San Francisco and San Diego in both hospital and private settings and across all ranges of physio from rehab, orthopaedics, and neurological care. She had her credentials certified by the Irish Society of Physiotherapists in 2011 and moved to Ireland shortly thereafter.
Since arriving here, she has worked with Terenure Sports Club, assisting rugby, football and tennis players. She’s a golfer and former tennis, soccer and softball player and enjoys learning about new Irish sports. She has found her home in private practice physiotherapy specialising in manual therapy in spinal health, sports physiotherapy, post- operative recovery, workplace ergonomics, and Pilates. She is dedicated to CPD and is enrolled in MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy at UCD, but she had also taken a wide range of courses.
Stefanie teaches Saturday morning Pilates and keeps her classes fresh and interesting. She is excellent at explaining each movement and engaging the correct muscles in a safe and caring manner.
Stefanie strives to show her clients that they are empowered in the process of healing. She engages with her clients to establish a concise treatment plan with goals that are important to them. Stefanie will design a specific plan to take you out of pain and back into action.
