All you need to know about the
evolution of World Wide Web
As web technologies are updating fast, web developers also update
themselves and develop the latest and top notch websites having great user
experience.
Web 1.0 (1990-2000) - Read Only Web
Web 1.0 can be simply labelled as the web
of information. It was a mere information
hub back then. The users of the web
couldn’t interact at all through the websites.
We can actually call those websites “static”
in the true sense. These types of websites
were created by the companies to reach to
people. This era can be called as a
stagnant phase in website development.
Web 2.0 (2000-2010) - Read and Write Web
In this second stage, we saw a tremendous
change in the way the internet ran the
world. Users were able to interact with the
website information and could give their
opinions and feedback on the information
transmitted. This was quite a start of the
dynamism in the website development. And
yes! Blogging platforms were more
significant than the past.
Web 3.0 (2010-2020) - The Semantic Web
The phase after the 2nd one was more
“complex” but “structured” at the same time.
Web 3.0 in website development involved
the use of structured data for automation
and integration. It became essential to cater
to the individuals and users of many types.
Known as the “semantic web”, a brand can
think of strategies to target consumer
groups. This was also the starting of a
phase of IoT which is undoubtedly the
future of the World Wide Web.
Web 4.0 (2020-2030) - Artificial Intelligence
If you are already very much impressed
with the chatbots talking to you, then
hold on- there will be more of it you will
see it coming after 2020! It’s called
“Artificial Intelligence” and it’s called the
phase that is a golden era in the
website development.
Web 5.0 (2030 and beyond) - Telepathic Web
We bet that Web 5.0 after 2030 will be
the most complex generation of the web
where a human brain and a computer will
not be much different, rather a computer
with internet will be more intelligent. A
phase in website development which will
let you do the things just by thinking! Isn’t
it amazing?

A survey of cloud readiness for Jakarta EE 11 by Edward Burns, has 24 slides with 16 views.Jakarta EE 11, is the newest iteration of the enterprise standard for Java line-of-business applications. This talk from Jakarta EE veteran Ed Burns briefly reviews what’s new in Jakarta EE 11 and then conducts a survey of how to run Jakarta EE 11 on today’s hyperscale cloud vendors. Because there are two dimensions of vendor neutrality: cloud vendor, Jakarta EE vendor, this talk will give a very high-level view of the entire solution space, and a drill down view on Ed’s opinionated perspective of the most useful combinations. The big new feature in Jakarta EE 11 is Jakarta Data. Ed gives a whirlwind tour of this exciting new specification and provides resources for learning more. It’s possible to run Jakarta EE on Azure, Google and AWS. For each vendor, there are multiple choices for how to run it. And within each choice, you have the additional choice of IBM, Red Hat, or Oracle. Ed will give a whirlwind tour of the multiple dimensions of vendor neutrality, seasoned with Ed’s decades long experience exploring the relevant tradeoffs. The heart of the presentation is a deeper look at how to run Jakarta EE on Azure Container Apps. This solution gives you just the right mix of customizability and operational ease.

Will Ai Eat the Industrial World? The End of Engineering as We Know it by Christian Dahlen, has 12 slides with 19 views. The fundamental question isn’t 'what if' Agentic AI could make better engineering decisions than humans? It’s when will Agentic AI make better decisions than humans. This shift is already happening. The rapid evolution of large language models (LLMs) and agentic AI means that AI is moving beyond an assistive role and toward independent decision-making and is a fundamental transformation of the industry. For decades, Germany’s industrial strength has been built on engineering expertise. Precision manufacturing, rigorous processes, and deep technical know-how have been at the core of global industrial competitiveness. Agentic AI, however, is changing the rules. We’re no longer talking about AI as just another IT tool. We’re looking at a fundamental shift in who—or what—makes engineering decisions. Agentic AI is becoming the engineer. We’re transitioning from CoPilot AI—which assists human engineers—to Agentic AI, which independently executes tasks and decisions. This shift is crucial because it moves AI beyond being a passive assistant and turns it into an active problem-solver that autonomously handles critical aspects of industrial workflows. CoPilot AI helps humans by providing suggestions, detecting errors, and optimizing processes collaboratively. Agentic AI works independently, executing tasks with minimal human intervention and owning decision-making processes. Agentic AI systems will be built to achieve specific outcomes, such as optimizing workflows, processing vast amounts of sensor data, or making supply chain decisions in real-time. AI is not just replacing software tools—it’s replacing entire roles and decision-making processes. The key question industrial leaders should ask is which roles will be automated? Today, the roles most likely to be automated satisfy these criteria: 1. Routine and repetitive tasks (e.g., quality control, data entry, scheduling) 2. Decision-making based on structured data analysis (e.g., demand forecasting, preventive maintenance decisions) 3. Tasks with clear objectives and outcomes (e.g., procurement optimization, logistics management) 4. Roles not requiring emotional intelligence or nuanced human judgment (e.g., factory-floor inspections, order processing) While AI won’t replace every engineering function, the roles it can automate will be deeply transformed. AI’s impact on industrial engineering will vary across the Design-to-Operate (D2O) lifecycle. Some phases will remain human-led, while others will see rapid automation.

How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental Health by ThinkNow, has 21 slides with 37281 views.Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits. To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups. Technology For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did. While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis. Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad. Age and Gender When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same. Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers. Race Affects Attitudes As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdf by marketingartwork, has 29 slides with 68170 views.Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search Intent by Lily Ray, has 99 slides with 18714 views.1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework. 2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections. 3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

World Wide Web The Evolution - The WWW versions

  • 1. All you need to know about the evolution of World Wide Web As web technologies are updating fast, web developers also update themselves and develop the latest and top notch websites having great user experience.
  • 2. Web 1.0 (1990-2000) - Read Only Web Web 1.0 can be simply labelled as the web of information. It was a mere information hub back then. The users of the web couldn’t interact at all through the websites. We can actually call those websites “static” in the true sense. These types of websites were created by the companies to reach to people. This era can be called as a stagnant phase in website development.
  • 3. Web 2.0 (2000-2010) - Read and Write Web In this second stage, we saw a tremendous change in the way the internet ran the world. Users were able to interact with the website information and could give their opinions and feedback on the information transmitted. This was quite a start of the dynamism in the website development. And yes! Blogging platforms were more significant than the past.
  • 4. Web 3.0 (2010-2020) - The Semantic Web The phase after the 2nd one was more “complex” but “structured” at the same time. Web 3.0 in website development involved the use of structured data for automation and integration. It became essential to cater to the individuals and users of many types. Known as the “semantic web”, a brand can think of strategies to target consumer groups. This was also the starting of a phase of IoT which is undoubtedly the future of the World Wide Web.
  • 5. Web 4.0 (2020-2030) - Artificial Intelligence If you are already very much impressed with the chatbots talking to you, then hold on- there will be more of it you will see it coming after 2020! It’s called “Artificial Intelligence” and it’s called the phase that is a golden era in the website development.
  • 6. Web 5.0 (2030 and beyond) - Telepathic Web We bet that Web 5.0 after 2030 will be the most complex generation of the web where a human brain and a computer will not be much different, rather a computer with internet will be more intelligent. A phase in website development which will let you do the things just by thinking! Isn’t it amazing?
