« Stillborn » is the Club release for February 2020.
The piece is a chapter of a longer composition called « Written In The Stars » which loosely tells the story of a person grieving after the unexpected and untimely ending of an undertaking that was very dear to them.
The metaphor of a stillborn child is used in the storyline to symbolize the endeavour that ended prematurely, as it conveys a strong and possibly universal message regarding the psychological impact of such an occurrence.
« Stillborn » works as the impulse that drives all the action, revealing what makes the following mourning process necessary.
The music blends stylistic elements borrowed from many genres ranging from urban to progressive, tramples forward to the beat of electronic and acoustic drum sounds, and features excerpts of poetry readings.
