Prevent Forclosure

I am desperately asking for your help, here is our story.  We are a family of 4 with two disabled children and I am disabled leaving my husband as the only able adult to work.  All of our life we have struggled for what we have, nothing has ever come easy.   In 2002 we achieved our biggest dream and we were able to mortgage a modest home on a half acre of land at 120,000.00 for 30 years, averaging around 1150.00 a month.  At this time my husband and I were both capable of supporting our family.  Also, in 2002 we as a family, decided to adopt, after more than 10 years of not being able to conceive a second child.  We became foster parents, it took over 2 years working with DCF, before we were able to finalize the adoption and our family was complete.   In 2004 I suffered a horrific dental accident that caused me to have respiratory failure. For all intent and purposes I was dead! All the specialists stated that I would not survive.  Through the grace of God our family and I was granted a miracle.   I not only survived but had a miraculous recovery defying all the specialists expectations. Although, I physically recovered there has been neurological, mental, and personality changes.  This is when my family's struggles began.  I worked for over a decade as a Register Certified Nursing Assistant.  I am a humanitarian , and I have worked in the medical field since I was 16 years old.  I love taking care of others.  I attempted to return to my passion and I found I was no loner capable of performing the job at the most basic professional level.  My traumatic brain injury caused me to have memory loss , weakness and some focus issues.  While working in a convalescent home I sustained a sever crushing injury to my left foot.  The crushing injury was a direct cause  from my problems from my brain damage.  I had to have 3 surgeries on my left foot and nerve damage, which has left me physically handicapped.  Because of my poor posture and favoring my left foot my back suffered herniated and compressed disks.  I now suffer from deteriorating disk disorder and sciattica.  I now have difficulty walking, standing and lifting.  I have daily pain in my left foot and back.  Still feeling the need to work I became a school bus driver.  After a few years I was no longer capable of driving large complex vehicles. Since this time my health has declined dramatically and I have been unable to work for the last 7 years.   In 2013 our family suffered many severe personal tragedies.  During that February was the worst blizzard in Connecticut's history my father in law had a heart attack while shoveling.  My husband the only wage earner in the family, lost time and wages from work caused by his father's heart attack and the severe winter weather.  I required emergency abdominal surgery in March. It was extremely slow in healing due to multiple disorders.  In April my husband broke his back in 2 places.  Again, my husband lost time and wages from work because of my surgery and his broken back.  In May I suffered a broken left ankle and foot.  From July to September we lost 4 very close family members and friends.  Being the compassionate family we are, we had to contribute to the expenses for the funerals.  Due to the funerals, again my husband lost time and wages from work. In September my husband had abdominal surgery.  Complications during the surgery caused him to be on the ventilator longer than expected and causing him to aspirate and having great difficulties coming off the ventilator.  He spent 7 days in the ICU with aspiration pneumonia.  After being released  to go home he almost bled to death because he was hyper sensitive to the blood thinner injections he was sent home with.  He required two blood transfusion and another stay in the hospital for an additional 7 days, again my husband lost time and wages from work.  After using all of our savings and pawning all our valuables, we were unable to prevent the default of our HUD assistance for our mortgage.  We have attempted to reinstate our government mortgage assistance.  We attempted to work with our mortgage company.  We were not reinstated with government mortgage assistance and the mortgage company refused to work with us.  The government told us that there is no excuse and no forgiveness for default and that this was only a one time deal, absolutely no exceptions.  Our mortgage company told us to leave our home, We asked for a refinance, they replied with "you cannot afford your home so we will not help you to reduce your payments! and go find a rent" .   Since 2007 I have applied for Social Security Disability several times and I have been denied for various reasons.   We are now in foreclosure, we have exhausted all other means to save our home.  Over the last 3 months, since my last denile, I have been extremely  attempting to find employment that is within my capabilities.  As I write this my husband is again out of work from an injury, this time at work.  What little money we have is used to support our 11 year old daughter's needs.  Although we have made great sacrifices physically, mentally and financially we are unable to pull our selves out of foreclosure.   Next week we go to court for the pending foreclosure of our home. We need to show the court of our efforts in trying to find a solution and that we are actively trying.  We have no place to go, we have no money to move.  We have struggled to keep our home over the last 12 years.  It is the only home we have ever had.  It is the only home our 11 year old daughter has ever known.  When we are forced out of our home we have no place to go.  We have no place for our belongings. We have no place for our beloved family pets.  We will be forced to bring our pets to the pound and shelters.  We will be forced to live in our car, stay in warming centers and homeless shelters.   My husband is also a humanitarian and works for the public protecting the environment.  We believe in helping others.  We believe in humanity.  We believe in the kindness of others.   We humbly are asking for your help.   Sincerely yours  Jen Bezio
