Figures Toy  Company

brings you the Funtastic

World of Hanna Barberra

For years, our televisions were tuned in to their adventures. They were a part of our childhood, and are beloved to this day. Now, some of the most famous cartoon characters of all time are joining the retro action figure ranks, as Figures Toy Company gets ready to release a new line of toys based on The Funtastic World of Hanna Barbera!

With such a wide array of Hanna-Barbera characters to choose from, where does Figures Toy Company start? How about with familiar faces like Johnny Quest, Mighty Mightor, Blue Falcon and Dynomutt, and Space Ghost! That's right, Figures Toy Company has confirmed that action figures of those characters will be a part of the series launch! While other revelations will come at a later date, it has also been confirmed that there are plenty of other fan favorite Funtastic retro figures in store!

The fun starts in the fall of 2015, when the first wave of these figures is set for release! In the meantime, Figures Toy Company would like to hear from YOU about what characters you think should be a part of the line! Head over to any of the official Figures Toy Company social media and let them know which funtastic Hanna-Barbera action figures you'd like to see! You can also stay up to date on the latest news about all of Figures Toy Company's products by using the hashtag #MMFTCNEWS on social media!

What's new in Re-Mego!

After a lengthy wait, Pete White and Jefferson Twilight are in stock and shipping!
Hopefully the rest of the compound arrives this month as well.

What's everybody looking at? Oh yeah, 8 inch Gary and Ace are now in stock and shipping!

Entertainment Earth and Figures Toy Company are teaming up to create a new two pack based on the classic 1966 Batman episode "The Contaminated Cowl". Limited to 300 these will likely disappear before you say "Zowie"

MIGHTY MIGHTOR

With the big announcement, it's important to mention that it's not the first time that Mighty Mightor has been available in the Mego Format. Back in the late 1970s, Mightor was a huge hit in France and spawned tons of merchandise such as plus, dress up costumes and this 12" doll by Mego for distributor Pin Pin Toys.

Not easy to find sadly but very, very cool!

I have a soft spot for the Mego Bend N Flex Superheroes, mostly because they're on smaller versions of the Kresge Card. What is not to love about Batman here?

Find out what it's worth by accessing our growing databse of completed Mego and 70s toy auction. We call it the Going Rate

GOAAAALLLL This Set of Steve Goal Getter outfits and figures scored this past week.

These Mego Superhero Banks kind of broke the bank (that was bad, I'm sorry)

This rare Canadian carded Comic Action Wonder Woman went for a good price this week. (The big difference is this has double the windows on the card)
Aw Yeah Mego Meet 2015 is two months away!

Aw Yeah Mego Meet 2015 Customs Auction

With Mego Meet being less than two months away, the contributions to the annual Mego Meet customs auction have been pouring in and wow, are they great.

Here are just a couple of things on the block as we like to say:

Happening on the Forum:

Goodbye Dida: Scott announced this week that Dida Displays are officially retired. It made a lot of folks really wish they'd ordered when they could. Check out the amazing creations that Dida did.

Discussing the Star Trek Planet of the Apes cross over comic series in the comic book forum. Notice the sublte use of the Mego Planet of the Apes throne here. Brilliant!

This old timey computer was marketed by Sears as a Fashion Doll Accessory but we all know it's better for Mego Action Figures.

The Wonder Woman 77 comic (which I'm told is a lot of fun) just added a character that looks alot like the Cathy Lee Crosby version of the character from the ill received TV movie. Read the thread here.

Oh yeah, we're discussing the new Fantastic Four movie too.....

Mego Prototype of the Week

Mego had a lot of good ideas that didn't make it to market but the Kiss Kamping set was not one of these.  It's a legendary bad idea and something we're pretty positive that Figures Toy Company won't be releasing any time soon.

Custom of the Week - 4/7/15 - Batman

This week the spotlight falls on the latest Batman by boss. With the exception of FTC gloves and boots, this figure is scratch-made including the body. It's one thing to take a pile of parts and make a cool figure; even better to take a pile of *materials.*

Custom Flashback - 4/8/2013 - Draconian Guard
This week the spotlight falls on the Draconian Guard figure posted by Mike Oz. The craftsmanship is on par with the Buck Rogers and Tigerman figures from the Zica line, and together they look fantastic in the Dida display set. Fingers crossed that Mike will release a kit someday.
