Figures Toy Company brings you KISS Destroyer and Dynasty!

You wanted the Best, you got the Best! That's right, the long awaited official announcement is here! Figures Toy Company is proud to announce that later this year, two all new waves of KISS retro action figures will arrive!

The upcoming sets will be based on two of KISS' most popular albums, Destroyer and Dynasty! Each wave will be costume specific to that era, and just like prior KISS sets, the four band members will be available in both 8 inch and 12 inch form! No matter what size figures you prefer, Figures Toy Company has made sure that Paul, Gene, Peter, and Ace will be right at home with your collection. On top of that, these music icons will be rocking brand new head sculpts by Danny "The Farrow" Anniellio.

Figures Toy Company is looking at a fourth quarter release for Dynasty and then will follow up with Destroyer sets! Not enough to make you "Shout It Out Loud? Members of the KISS action figure army will be pleased to know that there will be MORE KISS news in the coming weeks! We sure know something, but we're saving that for another Friday. Figures Toy Company revealed a new wave of Bat Variants which included this amazing prototype of Alan Napier as Alfred.

So self respecting Planet of the Apes fan should be without this 12" Lawgiver statue from NECA, sure it's not a figure but it'll really improve the Tree House.

The second wave of Funko Star Trek has a few Museum members excited.

Rarified Mego : The Dare Brothers

There are more than a handful of ultra rare Mego items that periodically change hands in the Mego community. One such item is this boxed Dare Brothers set. Loose bits and pieces are rarely seen, and this set may be the only one left MIB.

Is there a prettier sight than a carded Mego Falcon? I don't think there is...

Super Softies are greatly underrated Mego items, look how cool this talking Lone Ranger is!

This nice carded Kresge Lord of the Jungle popped up this week.

These vintage Super Savers still have their sticker, that is pretty sweet.

Catalog mailer boxes aren't for every Mego head but those that like them, like them alot. This cherry mint Planet of the Apes Soldier Ape is a tempting example.

Fist Fighting Green Arrow Figures from Lili Ledy Mexico don't crop up often but brother when they do it's expensive...

Speaking of Mexico, Noctun started out as an alien from Mattel's Space:1999 line but ended up in the Mexican Big Jim "El Squadron Lobo" line.

This White carded Pocket Heroes Wonder Woman sold for a bargain price this week.

Mexican Pulsar "The Saviour from the Future" brought some big bucks last week.

Kudos to the Winner of this Popy Battle Fever Japan figure, what a tremendous deal!

Aw Yeah! Mego Meet

There's still time to register for Mego Meet.

Mego Meet is a chance for the Mego toy collector community to get together in person to trade and buy parts and action figures, attend sessions designed to educate and answer questions about the Mego Corporation and the toys they made, but more than anything a chance to connect with friends and fellow collectors live and in person, instead of over the internet.

Mego Meet 2015 Benefit Auction

Each year, a tradition at Mego Meet is an auction to raise funds to offset bandwidth and software costs to keep the lights on at the museum. Christopher Noon from BigToyAuction.com will be making the trek to Skokie to insure a fun and successful auction. Submissions are rolling in, including this incredible Mr Incredible, so check back often.

Big Jim Talk

If you're fond of Mattel's man of adventure, there are two new places to talk about him on the web.

The Mego Museum has a Big Jim forum, where collectors are welcome to show off their collections, swap items and even showcase customs.

Unproduced: Dodge City Play Set

One of the bigger heartbreaks in the 1974 Mego Catalog is this Awesome Didge City playset (that looks to be of similiar construction to the Bat cave and Planet of the Apes Village sets) Sadly it was not meant to be. This prototype has never surfaced either, which is a shame as it's gorgeous....

There is a plethora of vehicles regularly available on Ebay in Mego scale from the likes of Gay Toys, Processed Plastics, Strombecker, etc. This old Ford found by member Lennie Starr is a perfect example of what a difference a few stickers can make.
