Introducing BlueLine

BlueLine is a tool for lawyers to improve cite checking and writing.  It provides lawyers with markup and immediately connects you to free case law.

The cases you access are free-saving you from the huge research fees charged by Lexis and Westlaw.  The program also saves time both by getting you to cases more quickly and because it checks quotations for accuracy automatically.  BlueLine makes your writing more accurate and encourages comprehensive cite checking with its intuitive markup.

BlueLine was founded by two recent graduates of the Penn law. The two first dreamed up BlueLine while working at the Penn Law review.  A software developer with advanced degrees from Columbia and a Law professor with a J.D. from Yale and Ph.D in economics from MIT contributed to the programs development.

BlueLine is not a competitor with the existing legal research platforms.  It also is not another “practice management” tool. Our vision is more exciting.

Our goal is to develop tools that save time when lawyers are performing legal work, which will enable them to shift their focus to higher value activities that their clients actually want to pay for. Legal clients are more cost sensitive than ever. Skilled lawyers should see this as an opportunity to stand out by ensuring that the time they bill is for high value work.
