Performing the popular songs from Folk Music’s early singer songwriter era and pulling on a contemporary pool of present day writers, Joice Marie, explores music with her original arrangements and percussive style. She adds harmonica, foot percussion, and clear vocals to an acoustic guitar backdrop. You will recognize and enjoy the material of favorites, like Neil Young, Carol King, Fleetwood Mac, and Joni Mitchell. Then be surprised, with the fresh sounds of Laura Veirs, Gillian Welch, and Miranda Lambert. There’s also a good chance to hear an original song or two. Joice Marie as a solo performer is entertaining and pleasant with a good variety of sound.
