Help me get to my sick father in TN

My Daddy is sick. Stage 4 cancer. I know he's going to beat it!! Prayers from all of you are requested & and accepted with a thankful heart.
He lives in Nashville, TN & I live in Rochester, NY. I'm not one to jump to conclusions, but I'm also one who prepares for what I can, although none of us is ever prepared for something like this. If the time comes I need to be able to leave my self-employed job (which I love, but provides no paid leave) and go to him. But taking time off means taking a financial hit I may not be able to recover from. With two children I need to continue to provide for, I'm forced to deal with the reality of what time away from work will cause. My monthly bills are over $1800, so any help you can offer in the way of helping my family through this difficult time would be beyond appreciated. I will post updates on his condition as I receive them.
