Burton ‘Burt’ Rosenbaum, longtime sales rep

AVENTURA, Fla. — Burton “Burt” Rosenbaum, a longtime sales representative for Stratford and more recently for StainSafe and Oak West Furniture, has died. He was 81.

Pedro Capo, vice president of operations at retailer El Dorado Furniture, Miami, said he met Rosenbaum 15 years ago when he saw the rep in a store dressed in a green, blue and yellow outfit that made him look like a parrot.

“That was the way he wanted to be known, different and funny,” said Capo. “I didn’t know it at the time, but I had just met the man that would be my sounding board for the rest of his life.”

He said Rosenbaum talked to the retailer’s salespeople and many other store employees and offered valuable, honest advice, sometimes challenging the way people thought.

“Burt, we all miss you at El Dorado. You were one hell of a guy,” Capo said.

Rosenbaum is survived by a son.
