Natural Joint Pain Relief For Dogs

Canine arthritis can be very painful and affects the dog’s joints as well as the connective tissues. This condition is more common in older dogs than in younger dogs. Even the most healthy dogs can become afflicted by this condition after sustaining serious injuries. Most commonly, it affects the neck, hips. shoulders, elbows, elbows, and back. You don't need to have surgery if you don't want to. Natural joint pain relief for dogs won't break the bank.

Vitamin C can be used to relieve joint pain in dogs. Powdered Vitamin C can be added to your dog's daily diet. What does this do? It protects tissues from further damage and deterioration. Because it can cause stomach upset, do not use plain ascorbic acids. Instead, use sodium ascorbate (or another buffered Vitamin C). Ask your pharmacist for suggestions. Small dogs need 500mg to 1000mg, medium-sized dogs need 1000mg-2000mg, and giant dogs need 2000mg-4000mg. Dogs with diarrhea or loose stool may indicate that their dosage is too high. Start at the lowest recommended dose and gradually increase it two times a year.

Supplements that contain Glucosamine or Chondroitin are recommended. They work together to lubricate the joints. Research shows that most veterinarians believe in the efficacy of glucosamine to reduce inflammation and treat arthritis in dogs.

Heat therapy is another effective treatment for joint pain in dogs. We all know that arthritis is more severe in the winter months. It is important to keep your dog warm, and it is even better if you can allow him to sleep in a heated bed. Joint pain can be relieved by hot water bottles or hot compresses. Massage your dog for 15-20 minutes after the heat therapy to increase blood circulation. Massage your dog with a medicated oil to reap the benefits.
