Blair Richard Martin
Canadian Painter, Musician…
Also a capable writer and digital photographer who has done independent web development; as well as, digital video creation and editing. In 2008 he was an important interview subject in both Treat Me Like Dirt – Liz Worth’s book documenting the history of Punk Rock in Toronto – and in the Colin Brunton/Kire Papputs film documentary The Last Pogo Jumps Again! – in which he was also credited as cameraman.
As a painter, Blair has ultimately committed himself to the traditions of naturalism and realist representation, the history and memory of fine-art figurative painting, and explores the relationship of these to photography and classic cinema.
