With music signed to such diverse labels as techno mainstay M_nus Records, Canadian downtempo imprint Interchill, and Berlin based Compute Music (amongst others), it's clear to see that Oblique Industries is not one to be restricted by the boundaries of genre. Drawing influence from techno, house, minimal, electro, progressive and experimental sounds, Oblique Industries has crafted a sound
as much to tantalize the mind as the body, exploring the contrasts between light and dark, loud and soft, minimal and maximal... whilst delving deep into the spaces in between.
Aside from his own productions, Oblique Industries is wellknown for his work as a remix artist, especially after being handselected by Richie Hawtin as the winner of the Plastikman 'Ask Yourself' Remix Competition out of over 1300 entries from around the world, earning him a place on Plastikman's 'Arkives' on seminal techno label M_nus Records. Oblique Industries' music is also available through Compute Records, Interchill Records, BUS records, Planetaria Recordings and Polish label We Are Your Music Mate, as well as Australia's own Smash Bang and Subsonic Music, with more tracks slated for release soon on Open Records, Hypnotic Instincts and Chameleon Recordings.
Now based in Berlin, Germany, Oblique Industries has gained a reputation as one of Australia’s premier exports, attracting the attention of some of the world’s biggest events, including the likes of Fusion Festival, Creamfields Festival and Amsterdam Dance Event. Bringing his electric live show to the stages of Europe, Asia and the Middle East, Oblique Industries has performed throughout France, Germany, Poland, Croatia, UK, Netherlands, Lebanon, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, China and Japan, it's obvious that Oblique Industries has no plans of slowing down anytime soon..
