Michelle Taylor Jones is an incredible photographer! Her prints are beautiful and precious. I have already had one shoot with my daughter that will forever be a timeless classic photo that I see everyday to remind me of our special bond. I just booked my next shoot and i cant wait! She really knows how to capture the essence womans beauty.

Probably one of my favorite experiences ever...I was somewhat nervous as I walked up to her place of business. ..but the personalized message at the front door welcoming me helped to alleviate that. ..Michelle was gracious and the ultimate professional, and made what could be an awkward situation, FUN! The photos were amazing, and it was hard to narrow my choices down! Ladies, do yourself the service of making an appointment with Michelle. ..you'll be glad you did!!!

Michelle is Pure Talent and Skill, both professionally and personally. In 2016, I embarked on a new Career and knew I had to find a photographer that could help me brand, well..... "ME". This portrait would be splattered across all my media outlets and on all my advertising documents. To say the least, I was nervous and intimidated. I looked at a lot of traditional photos out there. They all seemed cold and dry. without warmth and I was afraid my nerves would translate into the photo.
I found Michelle online a year prior when I was looking for local Photographers and decided to make an appointment to see if she could help me :) She was THE best choice for elegant, professional photos! The Studio in Downtown Snohomish makes you feel comfortable and warm. I feel very awkward in front of a camera, and she helped me relax and laugh. Almost EVERY time I give out a business card, I get compliments. I have given out her name so many times, I cannot count, anymore! Its been a year and a half, I may have to book another session, soon. Thanks so much for sharing your happiness with the world, Michelle. You made a huge contribution to my success!

When I was introduced to Michelle, I was 1-year postpartum with my first baby and not feeling like myself, let alone beautiful. She challenged me to have my portrait taken. Even though I dreamed of having that experience, I felt hesitant and compared myself to other more beautiful woman, questioning if it was right for me. I had a new body, and not necessarily one I loved. She reassured me that her team would give me a much-needed day of pampering and promised to create the most beautiful photographs I have ever seen of myself. Michelle delivered on that promise. One portrait is now hanging as a center-piece on our wall and my baby will grow up looking at it every day. When I've aged or even passed, he will cherish that portrait and remember the version of his mom he loves most, the version who was young, vibrant and confident. That alone is worth the experience. I also get to look at that portrait everyday and remember to love myself. It reminds me to value myself as a woman, as a wife, as a mother and as a small business owner. I get to admire and envy my own portraits everyday, and that is everything.

Aside from her amazing talent as an artist, she is also an amazing person. I can't say enough good things about Michelle. She loves connecting with people and I've made a friend for life. She showed (and continues to show) me a lot of respect and genuine kindness. She is exactly the right person to entrust with your portraits.

Drinking heavily while shopping online is a dangerous combination. This is how I ended up at Boudoir Betty's with an expired Living Social coupon. I repeat: After a few margaritas which tasted like they were made with Everclear, I purchased a package for a boudoir photo shoot when the only undergarments I own look like it's been the dog's chew toy for the last 15 years.

I arrived at Michelle's (the brain behind Boudoir Betty) with a bag full of pathetic underwear and a pair of black pumps that look like it'd been stolen from a myopic nun with bunions. Fortunately, Michelle has a variety of outfits for sizes ranging from 6 and up, as well as jewelry, and pumps.

The studio's at her house and upon arriving, there's a sign outside that says, WELCOME SUSAN! which was a cute touch.

Michelle's photo studio has several sets, all very tasteful - the obligatory bed, complete with the gauzy white cover, a chaise lounge, a burlesque backdrop, a 50s style kitchen, including period appliances (very cute) - and just in time for Valentine's Day - a cute Valentine's backdrop filled with pink and red hearts with inspirational cutesy messages. The photos depicted in the boudoir shoots are all tasteful sans nudity. Like Michelle said, "It's more PG Playboy than Hustler."

Although we'd never discussed this, I'm sure Michelle meets up with some really interesting (read - idiotic) people who have no idea what the hell they're doing and why they're there. As I struggled with corset after corset and the fishnets and pathetic underwear choices I'd brought, thinking maybe I should just throw on the costume I wore for Halloween in the third grade (a ghost costume, which consisted of a white bed sheet from head to toe with the eyes cut out) Michelle was very professional in helping me put on certain garments ("It goes THIS way"..."Um...I think it's upside down...").

Michelle's attention to detail was also wonderful, as she made sure the lighting, the pose and angle were perfect for every shot. For every set, you get to do an on your back, on your side, on your stomach and kneeling shot, depending upon the type of set. She was also very mindful about camouflaging problem areas, with certain angles, cover ups and hands. She will also retouch the photos you choose afterwards with filters. Total time for hair makeup and photos - three hours.

Michelle also posses some very awesome pieces of lingerie. For example, a gorgeous emerald blue corset with intricate embroidery and FEATHERS. Or a very retro and pretty lace bustier. It was like raiding a very cool person's lingerie closet.

With the package, you can opt for makeup and hair in house or on your own. Michelle or her mom will do the hair and/or makeup.

There was a price calculation snafu at the end of the shoot, which made the entire experience six hours. But in the end everything was worked out.

While there are many boudoir photo places which may be larger and operated out of a commercial storefront, I think Michelle's strength is in putting women of all ages and walks of life at ease, so they can feel better about themselves and their bodies. No matter what reasons a woman has for doing a boudoir photo shoot - to please her husband, boyfriend, mugshots - in the end, it's an empowering experience for herself, as she'll get to see her most beautiful self, bound and contained in yards of scratchy fabric, gussets and metal hardware.

...and for those who have a problem seeing their beautiful selves as I've described above, Michelle also offers wine, and one's free to bring her own Everclear margaritas.

This is the first time I have ever done anything like a boudoir shoot and now I'm addicted! Michelle is amazing! She makes you feel so comfortable and my photos turned out incredible! She made me feel so beautiful and now I have these photos for the rest of my life!

The business is ran out of her home in Everett/Mill Creek, the studio is very welcoming, decor is great and there are many options too! Her Mom is the assistant, she did a great job on my hair. I would highly recommend this experience with Michelle, she is a natural at making you look and feel good!

I had thought about having boudoir photos done for some time and just never pulled the trigger. I am so sad I never did this sooner. I left my ex of 7 years and wanted to do something fun and empowering. This was just the cure!

I searched online for a couple days and stumbled across Boudoir Bettys and based on the phenomenal reviews and photos online I scheduled an appointment with Michelle.
She is so GREAT! My hours were not really compatible with hers and I couldn't take time off of work. She was so nice and let me come on her day off! At that point I was already really impressed.

She answered all questions I had leading up to my shoot and was very helpful. I showed up for my shoot looking like a wreck with no make up, big frizzy hair and sweatpants haha. Her and her lovely mother did my hair and make up and transformed me into pure... gorgeousness! I could not believe it. I felt totally comfortable and relaxed the entre time! Nothing about the experience made me nervous or self conscious in the least. Her whole set up is gorgeous. I wish I could live in her studio :)

She helped me pick and outfit with a mix of what I had brought and what she had there. She took my first two photos and showed me, they were stunning. I literally could not believe that was me.

The hardest, yet my favorite part was going through all the photos at the end and picking out my favorites. IMPOSSIBLE. They were all spectacular and made me feel like I belonged in the centerfold of Maxim magazine, seriously.

I will definitely be ordering more shots from my shoot AND I will be back to do this again. I just feel very empowered by the experience and really great about myself, hints the ginormous poster size photo I have hanging in my bedroom.

Michelle is fabulous, the experience was unforgettable and I recommend everyone do this! You will not regret it!

The best photo session I have ever experienced. I'm 50+ and a plus sized woman. Michelle was fun, comfortable and professional. I was amazed when I saw the photos. She really knows how to make a girl embrace her beauty!
