I’m Salina Shuler, MSW, President, CEO of South Orange County Detox and Treatment. t has been my vision to establish a different type of detox and addiction treatment center than what exists in most institutions and facilities throughout the country. While providing a safe and comfortable detox, we also create an environment that would best facilitate growth in our clients during this first phase of Addiction Treatment. Rather than merely providing the necessities for a comfortable stay, here at South Orange County Detox and Treatment, we attempt to empower our clients to take seriously their recovery and to view this process as one that will require the willingness to explore different coping skills, the honesty to look within oneself, the openness to share one’s pain with others as a means to acceptance, and the perseverance to commit to a process by which many others have found peace and serenity.
In my many years of working in the clinical field, I have found that empathy and understanding are two of the most important facets of connection by which I have seen positive change in my clients. Using these gifts has allowed me to bring a different level of care to those who come in to South Orange County Detox and Treatment and has also helped me bring hope to those who believe they are swimming in a sea of hopelessness.

You may verify insurance on our website or by calling our 24/7 detox helpline at 949-584-5927 and our intake specialists will give you quick response regarding your insurance coverage. We do not accept HMO or Medi-Cal insurance plans. However, we do provide affordable pricing and referrals to assist you in finding options.

Detoxification is the first step in getting clean and sober from alcohol and drug addiction. Because you’ve become dependent on substances outside of your body to function, when removing drugs and alcohol from your system, it will take time for your body to heal and adjust back to its normal state of functioning. Without the proper medication and professional care, this process can be uncomfortable, painful and in some cases, life-threatening. There are many dangerous withdrawal symptoms that can occur during detox, therefore it’s highly recommended that you seek assistance to medically detox in a professional setting with 24-7 monitoring and supervision. Not only can detoxing on your own be dangerous, attempting to detox without professional help is very difficult and will increase the risk of relapse. At South Orange County Detox we provide 24-7 monitoring of withdrawal symptoms to ensure you a comfortable, safe and successful detoxification.

After detoxification is complete, our addiction specialists will assess your treatment plan and provide an individualized after-care plan. After care services may include Residential Treatment at South Orange County Detox and Treatment or another Residential Facility, Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, Outpatient Program and other professional recovery service recommendation such as Sober Living.

For Detox Clients, it’s recommended that you bring a 7-10-day supply of comfortable clothing and toiletries (such as a toothbrush, hygiene, shower products etc.). For Residential it’s recommended that you bring clothes for 10-14 days, toiletries, beach attire and exercise attire with athletic shoes. For both detox and residential treatment programs laundry amenities are available. Additionally, if you use nicotine, it is recommended that you bring cigarettes, e-cig supplies, or money to purchase supplies upon admission.
