Favorite characters to write for and why: surprisingly, but also not at the same time lol, would definitely be characters who have a lot of trauma, and I’m going to be honest and admit that’s due to my own trauma as well. Bucky Barnes, Steve Rogers, Billy Hargrove(when he was alive)
Character you find it hard to write for: oh jeeze, I’d personally say characters I’ve never written for before, or I’ve never seen shows/movies they were in, or i personally don’t feel their vibe

Favorite Fic: That’s What Friends Are For with M Shadows and Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. A close friend at the time who was the biggest Jimmy fangurl I ever knew lost her grandma. I felt impotent and helpless, and ended up writing the fic as a gift to her and hoping it helped her cope. It’s one of very few stories of mine that I can read in present day and not cringe over.
Most Recent Fic: it doesn’t have a title cuz I’ve never been good with titles but THIS piece featuring Lloyd Hansen and God the Bounty Hunter, based off lyrics an anonymouse sent to me when I requested some “Oh, and my love. Did I mistake you for a sign from God?” Yeah, I know, I’m a simple b!tch.

A line or two from a WIP:
“My lady, you look at me as though mesmerized and yet it is I who am bewitched.” She instantly rolled her eyes at him and his answering laugh, head thrown back, was a full sound that surrounded her. “I must say, your demeanor is refreshing as well.”
“Sir, you give an impression of confidence bordering on arrogance which would lead me to believe you have a dedicated following, ready to fall at your feet when called. I am sure there is no room for one such as myself.” She paused, a sadness painting her features which made him frown in return. “Indulging the Hag of the Woods would no doubt ruin whatever stellar reputation with women you no doubt possess."
His eyebrows shot up as he reconciled this woman as the long fabled Hag of the Woods. She did not strike him as casting spells for fortune, glory or gain of any kind as the stories told had him believe. Her existence seemed simple; nor was she old or mangled as one deemed a hag typically is. She was a mystery and he had never been one to shy away from a good mystery.
Favorite characters to write for and why: honestly, and I’m sure this is going to sound funny, characters I hardly know anything about. When a character is presented so very plainly to me or without much backstory, my imagination doesn’t feel hindered and I have a freedom to make up anything I want without My Brain arguing with me. I think that’s why my first Ransom story was one I managed to write in one sitting. I had only seen one trailer at that point with Ransom saying "Eat shit!” and whooo. My imagination was off to the races. Whereas with someone like Steve Rogers or Anakin Skywalker, there’s a very well established canon that My Brain feels like we need to follow rules for because if we don’t? We are somehow being disrespectful or writing badly/poorly for the character. My Brain and I are constantly fighting is all that I can tell you, haha.
I also have to say that when I began my medieval Anakin x female witch story in October 2023, my first scene was the witch conversing with Obi Wan because his voice (based off of Ewan McGregor’s portrayal in Return of the Sith) came SO easily to me. And hearing Obi Wan’s voice and cadence in my head, bringing to life the words I was writing was just FUN and that’s something I hadn’t experienced in a loooooooooooooong time. And it’s really based off of my love for Ewan’s portrayal. I love writing for Obi Wan, or, my version of him I guess.
Character you find it hard to write for: playing off of my last answer, well established AND well loved characters in any fandom. My Brain is SO gee dee particular when it comes to characters that exist in many different media (TV, movies, books, comics, etc) because it feels like actual talented people already set these characters up so to not follow what they’ve done means I’m doing a disservice to the character.
It’s also REALLY difficult when a fandom has decided what a character is like and is VERY vocal about it; I’ve recently discovered in the past year that the fandom here on Tumblr sees Anakin Skywalker VERY DIFFERENTLY from the way I see him so even if I ever did finish an Anakin story, I’d never post it here cuz it feels like the fandom would HATE what I write (which then just intimidates me not to write at all).
