Osmani Soundz is a British Asian Electronic music producer / DJ who began his career in 1988 back then known as Osmani Knights Soundz.
It all started for him in the basements, community halls and youth clubs of the east end of London. Growing up surrounded by the culture of 'sound systems' he began perfecting his craft, working with his crew of DJs, Dancers, MCs and Graffiti artists. These early influences paved the way for the creation of a truly innovative and unique sound, leading to a residency at Talvin Singh's legendary Anokha Club Sessions at the Blue Note in Hoxton, London in the mid-'90s.

A pioneer in the UK Asian Underground scene, he has been creating and playing cutting edge electronic music for more than three decades. His eclectic style blends western and eastern electronica, leading the way for Eastern drum and bass, experimental breakbeats and dubstep.

Osmani's earliest release was one of the first Asian Drum and Bass Anthems "Spiritual Masterkey" (1994) then re-released and was featured on Talvin Singh's compilation, Anokha Soundz Of The Asian Underground on Island Records Uk (1997) and since then has heaps of record releases to his name.
A Winner of the Brit Asia TV Music Awards (The Nasha Experience) for Best Alternative Act in 2011 this award highlighted the importance of the sound and creativity and his influence on the industry and on the genre.

Back then Osmani Soundz DJ sets were original blends of hip hop, trip hop, acid house, techno and jungle alongside experimenting with classical Indian and Hindi film samples and he has performed and held residencies at some high profile iconic venues in London and has toured worldwide: The End, Fabric, 93 Feet East, The Vibe Bar, Herbal, Gramophone. He has been commissioned to compose music for a number of dance and theater companies which lead to performances at the Royal Albert Hall, Southbank Centre, Trafalgar Square Festival, Barbican, Royal Opera House, Jaipur international music festival (India) and The Jazz Cafe.

Currently working on a new record label 'Hundred Colours Music' - founded by Osmani Soundz, Nuphlo and Shandy. Hundred Colours Music is a new record label dedicated to releasing nu-skool, futuristic, cutting edge Eastern Electronic Bass Music. Osmani Soundz latest release is on the Blueberry Junction EP
