Haagenti is a Great President of Hell, ruling thirty-three legions. He makes men wise by instructing them in every subject, transmutes all metals into gold, and changes wine into water and water into wine.

He has manifested himself into sound curator, writer and architect-of-will, Luis D. Mateos. This iteration of Haagenti explores the overlaying of sounds, micro-tonalities, multi-frequency saturation and dense, rich soundscapes that aim at enticing minds to explore their most obscure side. There is a general misconception of obscurity; the intended purpose here is summarized in the phrase Ex Tenebris Lux. Light and darkness are both tautological and need each other to be defined, to exist. We often think of darkness as ill-conceived acts of terror and crime, but it is not the case. Those are choices made by fallible people -as we all are- who do not understand alchemy and true will. Keep in mind, the allegory of hell is not trivial -we all have a personal hell, because [beware] we know the limitations and bounds which can lead us to that hell. Making darkness a taboo only leads to apocalypse, that it is why it needs to be something that is brought forward in our own minds, so we don’t become blind servants of neither. Infinite cycle of shedding light to what is hiding from ourselves by ourselves.

A lot of creative people say they are just the means for something greater to manifest itself into this existence. Here I say, that there IS something greater, but I am the sole entity accountable for the outcome of its manifestation -I will not blame a greater power for my own choices-.

- I shape my true will, as it is the whole of the law.
- This is the individual assuming its power and weakness at the same time.
- This is the individual humble enough to recognize that he himself is not enough.
- This is the individual making choices and leaving the rest to the balancing forces of the universe.
- We have no control, and nothing will ever be finished.
- Embrace as much of darkness as of light, using them for the progress and wellbeing of humankind.
- Keep your ego constrained and make it work FOR you, not the other way around.

Kindred souls will find something interesting in these words and sounds, others will be indifferent, and the rest will detest them, but this is not unique to me or anyone, it is the way things are. Be kind and navigate your own mind with care, it is a never-ending effort.
