Ink Elk is a queer band that has been shaped and polished by city-streets, highways, mountains, rivers and woods. Meeting in 2012 in Guatemala, while travelling, Iza and Rae started playing music together. They were sleeping in the woods, and hitch-hiking around central & northamerica with empty pockets, playing music on the streets just a way to get butter for their bread, but slowly, it became more serious. After getting the opportunity to record an EP, it was on like donkey kong. They were now officially a band and the travels continued on over to Europe. Up until this day they never stopped travelling and this way they have been able to gather inspiration from many different places around this globe. Coming from opposite sides of the world with completely different history, Iza and Rae, have managed to unite their differences while creating music. The spectrum spreads from Folk to Punk and between with a touch of spanish rhythm. We are currently located in the U.S. We are "homeless", wandering, hobos, yo!
