Howdy Friends and Family,
I recently returned from a wonderful tour in Montana and Idaho. I performed at the Buffalo Field Campaign and learned about the efforts to stop the slaughter of buffalo when they wander out of Yellowstone National Park. I also got to unexpectedly camp amongst a buffalo herd for three days in the Yellowstone backcountry! In the national park backcountry safety video, no one mentioned what you’re supposed to do when a 2,000 pound buffalo walks up to your tent.
Oregon Votes on GMO Labeling in November
Share “Label GMO Disco” With Your Friends in Oregon
Oregon will vote on Initiative 92 in November, which would require the labeling of GMOs (genetically modified organisms) in foods. In 2012 a similar initiative lost in California 47%-53%. In 2013 a similar initiative in Washington State lost 49%-51%. Let’s help Oregon put it over the top this year! Send the link to “Label GMO Disco” (below) to your friends in Oregon so they can pass it around. Disco lives!
Great Salish Sea “Orca” T-Shirt
I’ve only done T-shirts for a few album tours, and this one is definitely the most beautiful. The design is based on the Canoe Journey T-shirt designed by Vivien Burnett. Designer Bob Paltrow took Vivien’s design, added some resident Orcas of the Salish Sea, changed the colors around a bit, and voila!
