Bout of Books: Day 4: Challenge

This challenge is found here with the rules: Kimberly Faye Reads

So here are my picks for this challenge, I hope you enjoy! :)

We will start with the summer since that is the season we are in now:

This book is summer time for me here in Kansas. We get to spend our warm, humid nights with these little lightening bugs, it makes for beautiful scenery and they don't tend to mess with you, they just give you a pretty show, they are performers of the best kind, I'd say ;)

From here we will go in order, so next is Autumn, my favorite season!

It rains a lot here in the Autumn and the leaves are beautiful when they are changing, so this was the best depiction of fall for me!

Winter is next:

We don't tend to get a ton of snow, but we do get some and most of the houses are decorated similar to this for most of the winter season, so this was a good cover to depict how winter is for us here.

And finally Spring, my other favorite season:

I grew up spending a ton of time on my grandparents farm especially during the summer and granted we didn't have a swing like this, we still had so much fun and this swing reminds me of fun that can be had when you are growing up. So, this is my spring book cover.

Bout of Books 14: Day 1 Recap

I read so much today, I just had some major downtime and I decided that reading was the best way to fill my time.

Starting out the day I cracked open A Hot Glue Gun Mess by Mr. Kate. Such a great book! I loved that it was just different stories with corresponding DIY projects at the end of each story. I totally adore Mr. Kate, I watch her YouTube videos and Snapchat, she is so funny! I say check this book out, it is worth it.

I read all 246 pages of this book early on in the day.

After that I picked up Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles. I love the back and forth between chapters, I love dual view books. I like that she isn't tied to being politically correct in writing this book. Also, she is speaking about real life things that actually happen to lots of people. So far, good book.

I read 77 pages today of this book.

That brings me to a total of: 323 pages for today! :)

Bout of Books 13: Day 1 Review and Day 2 Challenge: Character Face Off

Hey everyone! :)

Well, I didn't have a ton of extra time today to read, so I only read just a bit.

I started and got to page 17 in Papertowns by John Green. I am loving it so far, but well I mean it is John Green, so of course it is gonna be great! :)

Here is also day 2 challenge by LuLo Fangirl:

Opponent #1: Evan Mathews - The Breathing Series by Rebecca Donovan
Who: Lead guy who is in love with Emily Thomas
Pros: Loves music, Photographer, World Traveler, and always there when needed.
Cons: Adrenaline junkie, assumes to much, and misunderstands certain situations.

Opponent #2: Cal Logan - What If by Rebecca Donovan
Who: Lead guy who's in love with Nicole Bentley/Nyelle Preston
Pros: Never cared what others think of him, avoids conflict, has all female best friends, and is a all around good guy.
Cons: Always has a girlfriend but it never lasts more than 3 weeks.

Winner: Evan Mathews
Why: Partly because I had 3 books to get to know Evan, but also because I love that he is a photographer, music lover, and world traveler, those are all things I love to do or want to do. Plus, he is undeniably in love with Emily and is really there for her in all her craziness. You gotta love a guy like that. lol

Thats my answer for the challenge.

Hope you guys signed up and are enjoying the read-a-thon!

Top 5 Most Used Apps For My iPhone and iPad...

Hi Everyone! :)

So, I wanted to try something a little different then I normally do. Branching out can be fun! So, this is about the top 5 apps I use on my iPhone and iPad, so there is a total of 10 but some are repeated.

Let's start with my iPhone. I have a white iPhone 5c, I have had it since this past May. I love it, I am an Apple/Mac girl so I have an iPhone, iPad, and Macbook Pro (and soon I hope to have an iMac too!). These are not necessarily in an order to be honest. I use all of them close to the same amount.

1. Instagram - We all know what this is. lol.
2. FB Messenger - I run a model group, and FB messenger is how we communicate, so I am on it constantly.
3. IMDb - I love pop culture and learning about "famous" people and who was in what and who wrote or directed what and all that kind of stuff, so this app satisfies that for me easily.
4. Google Maps - I use Google Maps for well everything. Of course the standard to find where I am going, but also for phone numbers to places, reviews about places, to find out what the hours are at a business, and even their website.
5. Snapchat - My best friends use this app all of the time, so I had no choice but to get into it. It isn't my favorite, but it can be fun for sure.

Ok, so for my iPad 2. I just bought it earlier this month, but since it is essentially the same thing as my phone, it was an easy transition into using it.

1. Instagram - see a repeat, lol
2. FB Messenger - another repeat
3. Facebook - Yeah I spend a good amount of time on FB on my iPad, it is just easier to read everything
4. Snapchat - Yep, you got it, another repeat
5. Phase 10 and Skip Bo - I love card games and my boyfriend hates playing cards, so I use the apps to satisfy that side of me. lol.

Have a great weekend! :)
